Q. We have a lawn surrounding large trees and the grass does not grow well in the shade. Is there anything we can do about this.
A. Lack of light is not the only factor. Some trees drain a lot of water and nutrients from the soil. Seeding with grass for shady areas and drought resistant grass will help.
