Q.  We have patches of lawn that are starting to go yellow, what could be causing it?

A.  A common disease on British lawns is fusarium patch, a fungal disease denoted by patches of yellowing grass that increase in size to about a foot across. Good grass management helps to avoid infection but application of a systemic fungicide at the first sign of disease will offer a cure for the problem.
